Client, core and configuration

v2rayN is a desktop interface for managing proxy connections on Windows, macOS and Linux. It imports, organizes and tests profiles, then generates configuration for a core such as Xray or sing-box.

Bring a working server profile, share link or subscription URL. The client does not provide servers, accounts or subscriptions. After installation, import a profile, activate it and configure how applications send traffic.

Your first setup

Complete one stage at a time so installation, configuration and network problems are easier to distinguish.

  1. Match your system and architecture, then install or extract the client.
  2. Import a share link, or add and update a subscription group.
  3. Activate a profile and check that its core starts.
  4. Choose automatic system proxy with an existing routing preset.
  5. Visit your intended destination and observe the information panel.

Combining advanced features

System proxy controls traffic entry, routing selects an outbound, DNS resolves names, and TUN provides another entry path. Policy groups select profiles; chains connect through them in sequence.

Back up first. Establish a working single-profile connection before enabling advanced features one at a time.

Report issues and contribute

Record client and core versions, OS, reproduction steps and the expected result. Use the local troubleshooting guide first; reproducible software defects belong in Issues and usage questions in Discussions.

Redact credentials, subscription tokens and private server information before sharing logs. Code contributions can be submitted as pull requests with an explanation and validation.
